Tech Lead

  • Point of contact for internal and external engineering, design, and product teams.

  • Established team best practices for git/github, code contributions, and advocated for developer ownership of QA.

  • Lead for onboarding and training of new team members.

  • Built complex new designs and brand new user experiences for A/B tests, structuring code to be easily and quickly implemented and reusable by other teams and pages.

  • Prioritized a11y efforts internally, expanding the regression suite and working extensively with the internal a11y team to make improvements to the site's accessibility.

  • Built Angular services to insulate internally sourced modules.

  • Migrated pages to AngularJS as proof of concept for stakeholders across Enterprise.

  • Established best practices and work cadence with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure a smoother sprint cycle across teams.

  • Point of contact for the new platform team and multiple stakeholders to ensure successful 100% replatform on Homepage and key enterprise pages. Migrated pages from an archaic internal PHP platform to a server-side rendering Angular platform utilizing Contentful, ejs, gulp, AWS, and CloudFront.

  • Optimized load time and performance of the site to reduce bounce rates and increase conversions for over 1 million visitors daily.

  • Oversaw bi-weekly releases via Akamai, AWS, and internal deployment tools.

A/B Testing

  • Point of contact and lead developer for integration of Optimizely and Adobe Target.

  • Established best practices for team workflow in A/B testing development. Evangelized technical guidelines for company A/B testing strategy, QA process, and best practices.

  • Integration and verification of analytical tools for A/B testing and code in production - Site Catalyst, and other internal analytics tools.

  • Worked closely with design, business, API teams, and marketing to launch Online Account Opening for Spark Business from planning to pilot to Marketing Day 1.

  • On-boarded 4 developers for UI team from an acquisition, improving Agile processes, internal communication, and training processes.

  • Attended ngConf 2014 as a representative of Capital One's efforts to integrate Angular into UI projects.

  • Co-organizer of SF chapter of COF's Women in Tech, an internal organization furthering gender equality in the workplace. Launched program with a 3-day workshop.

US Peace Corps && Systers Open Source Day

Ionic/AngularJS Prototype

Open Source project for the Grace Hopper 2015 Systers Open Source Day. Our team of 7 partnered with the US Peace Corps to create a mobile/web application that would enable Peace Corps volunteers to quickly reach out for help in unsafe, or potentially unsafe, situations. We created this prototype in less than 5 hours to display how the Peace Corps could have an app that uses little data, enables push notifications/texting, and empowers volunteers to stay connected and aware of each other's locations.

Winning project for the Smart Money Hackathon. Our team of four partnered with the Mission Economic Development Agency, offering free financial services to low and moderate income families in San Francisco. This app enables MEDA's financial coaches to better track their clients' financial progress and provide better metrics of success for their potential funders.
